Anna Christine has been drawing comics in order to figure out her life for years. Needless to say, she's figured out nothing. You can follow her weekly comic (currently on hiatus) featuring her dog in space here.
Anna is a proud recipient of a MICE Mini-Grant for her latest comic, Women on Paper. In January 2019, she received a grant from the Medford Arts Council to teach a Teen Comics Workshop at the Medford Public Library. She has also presented papers and chaired and moderated panels on comics, most notably facilitating a conversation between Erica Henderson and Sanford Greene for the 2019 National Arts Education Association's PreCon Comic Con! You can see her first story from Women on Paper, "Ursula," in the MICE art show at Lesley University.
In January 2021, Anna gave an artist talk and facilitated a virtual version of Lynda Barry's Scribble Monster Jam with the Teaching Artists of the Lehigh Valley. Check out an edited version of the workshop with some excellent monsters here!
In addition to doodling, Anna teaches comics classes, most recently through the ExCollege at Tufts University and the Brookline Arts Center. Read more about her class at Tufts here. She's also been featured at MICE 2017, the Somerville Public Library Comix Con, MeCaf 2018 and 2019, LadiesCon 2018, and Burlington Library's ComixCon. Meet her at MICE at Lesley University in Cambridge on October 19-20, 2019!
